It's magic level only on monsters, 70/30 on players. I advise using magic on karil. Iban blast, toss in a dds spec if you can. You could practice/simulate fight caves in these worlds without the loss of supplies. I would say the dps increase from the Karil'ls compensates for the loss of prayer from the book (the longer you have to kill magers + have mage pray on the more ppots you use per wave).
